The project has a total investment of nearly 200 billion VND, of which the Group sponsors 100 billion VND, the rest from other sources of capital. The project is built on an area of 4.5-5 hectares, including: the headmaster's office, 30 classrooms, department rooms, dormitory, 3 kitchens, dining room, living area, sports area, teachers' office house, multi-purpose house, swimming pool and auxiliary items.
Commencing on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the project is expected to be completed before August 30, 2026. When put into use, the school will meet the learning needs of about 1,000 students, contributing to improving the comprehensive education quality for ethnic minority students and gradually completing the educational facilities in the period 2025-2030.

Lai Chau is a mountainous, border province, bordering Yunnan province (China), with a border of more than 265km and a natural area of more than 9,000km². After the arrangement and merger of administrative boundaries, Lai Chau has 38 administrative units at commune and ward levels; including 11 border communes; a population of more than 500,000 people, including 20 ethnic groups living together; the proportion of ethnic minorities accounts for more than 84% of the population; the poverty rate accounts for 19.46%, one of the provinces with the highest poverty rate in the country.
In recent years, thanks to the attention of the Government, ministries, central branches and support from enterprises, including the Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group, the province has been supplemented with resources for socio-economic development, national defense and security, while improving educational infrastructure and enhancing the quality of human resource training.

However, due to complex terrain and difficult transportation, many schools in remote, isolated, and border areas lack facilities, especially classrooms, student dormitories, and public housing for teachers.
This is one of the reasons affecting the overall quality of education, making Lai Chau still an "educational lowland" compared to the region and the whole country.
Implementing the Conclusion of the Politburo in Notice No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025 on the investment policy to build inter-level boarding schools in border communes, the People's Committee of Lai Chau province has reviewed and proposed to build 11 primary and secondary boarding schools in 11 border communes.
When completed, the projects will add modern and synchronous facilities, improve the quality of teaching and learning, contribute to creating local human resources, and serve the sustainable socio-economic development of the province.
