Nearly 300 doctors, medical staff and officers from Dong Nai set out to support the people of Dak Lak

On November 25, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province held a ceremony to launch a working group to strengthen support for people in Dak Lak province to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and floods.

Dong Nai province established a working group with more than 290 participants including: medical staff, doctors, health workers, union members, youth, Red Cross and volunteers to participate in support work in 7 communes of Dak Lak province that were heavily affected by the recent floods including: Hoa Thinh, Hoa My, Tay Hoa, Son Thanh, An Thach, An Ninh Dong and An Ninh Tay.

The Dong Nai province working group prepared 10,000 medicine bags, planned to examine and give medicine to 2,000 people, give 2,000 gifts and 600 million VND in cash support. The group also prepared 20,000 meters of electric wire, 1,000 switches, 1,000 light bulbs,... to repair electricity for households...

Joining the delegation, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Children's Hospital, said that this trip was very meaningful with the desire to share some of the difficulties and losses that people are suffering, first of all spiritually.

In the context of natural disasters, early detection of diseases and epidemic control is extremely important. Therefore, the working trip is an opportunity for doctors, nurses and medical staff of the province to understand, sympathize and share with people in flooded areas.

The team from Dong Nai Children's Hospital will be in charge of pediatric examinations, with 16 members including doctors, nurses, technicians and pharmacists divided into three groups according to the three relief fronts of the province. The main tasks include examining, distributing medicine, and giving gifts to children and households that are heavily affected. We hope that these small contributions will help people overcome the difficult period ahead, said Mr. Nghia.

At the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province Nguyen Van Ut praised the spirit of initiative and readiness to carry out the tasks of the members of the working delegation.

Each member is not only a representative of their own industry and unit, but also a messenger of solidarity and compatriotism from the Party Committee, government and people of Dong Nai province to Dak Lak province.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province requested the Department of Health, as the leading agency, to organize and coordinate scientifically and closely all activities of the working group; ensure safety in travel, accommodation, and daily activities; develop plans for medical examination, medicine provision, and health consultation suitable to the actual conditions at each destination, ensuring effectiveness, practicality, and no formality.

Hospitals, the Provincial Center for Disease Control, Dong Nai Medical College and the team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and medical students must comply with professional procedures, promote the highest sense of responsibility; focus on caring for, examining, providing medicine, and providing health consultation to the people.

The Youth Union, Red Cross and volunteer forces promoted the spirit of initiative, creativity and flexibility in organizing activities to support people: Visiting and encouraging households with heavy losses; supporting temporary accommodation arrangements, environmental sanitation, distributing gifts and necessities; organizing sharing activities, encouraging children and the disadvantaged so that people can feel the warm sharing from Dong Nai.

Every word, deed, action and gesture of the members of the working delegation is the image of the Party Committee, government and people of Dong Nai province, therefore, it must be truly exemplary, responsible, dedicated, devoted and affectionate.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province hopes that, in addition to medical examination, treatment and material relief activities, the members of the working delegation will send to the people of Dak Lak a message of faith and optimism, that the whole country and Dong Nai province are always ready to share, overcome difficulties, soon stabilize life and restore production./.
