On November 27, at Nguyen Van Binh Book Street (Saigon ward), the exhibition "Photography without borders" officially opened.

This is the opening activity of the 2nd Ho Chi Minh City International Photography Festival - 2025 organized by the City Photography Association.

The 2nd Ho Chi Minh City International Photography Festival took place from November 28 to 30 with special exhibition activities on many streets such as Nguyen Du - Dong Khoi with the theme " The world through the lens of photography"; Dong Khoi - Ly Tu Trong street with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City - 50 years of shining golden name"; exhibition at the Youth Cultural House with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City firmly steps into the new era".

The photo exhibition “Photography without Borders” brings a rich and colorful artistic space, gathering 50 Vietnamese photographers and 14 international groups with 36 members. Each artist brings 3 dedicated works to the exhibition.

Mr. Doan Hoai Trung, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association, said the exhibition is a testament to the vitality and stature of photography in the flow of culture and integration.

“Photography without borders” is the common language of humanity, overcoming barriers to tell stories, emotions and moments that connect people everywhere.

According to Mr. Trung, this year’s exhibition not only introduces the diverse beauty of cultures, nature, and international life, but also affirms the role of exchange and cooperation of Vietnamese photography. The participation of more than 50 domestic and international photographers contributes to creating a rich and profound artistic picture.

Hopefully, the public will feel moved by the moments captured through the lens, while opening up new perspectives, experiences and connections.

Mr. Yukinori Otsuka, an official member of the Japan Photographic Association, said this was his first time in Vietnam and he was honored to attend the Ho Chi Minh City International Photography Festival.

During his first two days in the city, he visited the War Remnants Museum, learning more about Vietnamese history, things he had only known through books and newspapers. Seeing the documents and images with his own eyes helped him understand the past better and appreciate Vietnam more.

According to Mr. Yukinori Otsuka, Vietnam and Japan have many similarities. His hometown in Hokkaido is also famous for its vast rice fields, so he feels close when coming to Vietnam.

This festival is an opportunity to explore more deeply about Vietnamese culture and people, while opening the door to connect the photography communities of the two countries.

He also expressed his hope that in the future he will have the opportunity to take photos in Vietnam and introduce those frames to international friends.

In addition to the exhibition, there will also be a Photography Fair with 80 booths, introducing photography and training; organizing services such as portrait and art studios; introducing cultural and tourism units; trade, service and production companies...

There is also a Photomarathon competition for professional and amateur photographers.

The 2nd Ho Chi Minh City International Photography Festival - 2025 aims to develop and promote the photography cultural industry, expand international exchanges, and contribute to promoting the image of a dynamic, creative, and unique city./.
