After the surprise attack at the end of yesterday afternoon, investors proactively took profits this morning (Photo: VN-Index technical chart).

The entire market had 496 stocks decreasing in price, 36 stocks hitting the floor compared to 241 stocks increasing in price, 38 stocks hitting the ceiling. However, with the small number of stocks hitting the floor, it can be seen that the adjustment mainly came from profit-taking, not panic, dumping, or selling at all costs.

Liquidity reached 294.45 million shares equivalent to VND5,146.17 billion on HoSE and 48.3 million shares equivalent to VND686.56 billion on HNX.

Observing the market, we see that not all stocks are profit-taking and under pressure from supply. For example, in the financial services group, BSI shares still hit the ceiling price of VND26,750, with no remaining sales. CTS increased by 4.8%; FTS increased by 4.3%; AGR increased by 2.3%; VDS increased by 1.8%; ORS increased by 1.7%.

Or in the real estate group, while stocks such as NLG, HPX, QCG, PDR, KHG, VPH, TLD, ITC, HTN, DRT adjusted down over 2%, DIG still increased by 2.5%; LEC, VRC, NVT, CKG, NTL increased positively.

Most banking stocks were adjusted and this was also one of the reasons why the index was not supported. LPB decreased by 2.3%; SHB decreased by 2.2%; VCB decreased by 1.5%; HDB decreased by 1.3%; BID, MBB, EIB decreased in price.

Construction and materials stocks had TCD hit the ceiling, ACC increased by 2.9%; SC5 increased by 2.3%; BMP increased by 2% but did not contribute significantly to the index while most stocks in this industry decreased in price: PTC decreased by 3.7%; CIG decreased by 2.9%; MCG decreased by 2.6%; HPC decreased by 2.5%.
