On August 18, at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), Gia Lai province, the Vietnam Science Association in collaboration with ICISE solemnly opened the "International Conference: Flavor Physics" (VSAFP) with the participation of nearly 60 scientists, graduate students and young experts from 18 countries and territories around the world.
This year's conference follows the success of previous editions in 2014, 2017 and 2022, affirming ICISE's position as a prestigious academic destination in the region.
The event was honored to have the participation of many leading scientists in the field of particle physics, such as: Professor Mu-Chun Chen (University of California at Irvine, USA); Professor Landsberg Greg (Brown University, USA); Professor Ratz Michael (University of California at Irvine, USA)...
Flavor physics is the study of the properties and interactions of elementary particles such as quarks and leptons, especially symmetry-violating mechanisms and rare decays, phenomena beyond the Standard Model, currently a focus of research at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN).
This year's conference took place from August 18-23, with 56 in-depth scientific reports, focusing on topics such as: Neutrino Physics; Charged Lepton Physics (Tau, Muon); Kaon, Beauty and Charm Physics; Phenomena Beyond the Standard Model (BSM); Dark Sector Physics; CP Symmetry Violation and Rare Decay and New Theoretical Models.
In addition to thematic reporting sessions, the conference also organized open discussion sessions where scientists analyzed research results, shared methods and expanded international cooperation orientations.
This is an opportunity to connect theoretical and experimental physicists, promote interdisciplinary projects and develop facilities for particle physics research globally.
Held every three years, the “International Conference on Flavor Physics” is an academic forum that promotes global collaboration, expands research networks, and contributes to new advances in fundamental physics.
From searching for phenomena beyond the Standard Model to studying dark matter physics and developing modern measurement technology, the conference plays a key role in shaping the future of particle physics.
