According to the Ministry of Health 's Covid-19 prevention and control bulletin, May 29th recorded 846 new cases, nearly three times more than the previous day, 131 recovered, and 35 patients are currently receiving oxygen therapy.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Vietnam has recorded 11,610,724 cases, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories. In terms of the number of cases per million people, Vietnam ranks 120th out of 231 countries and territories (an average of 117,335 cases per million people).

- Oxygen therapy via face mask: 25 cases

- High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) oxygen therapy: 6 cases

- Non-invasive mechanical ventilation: 3 cases

- Invasive mechanical ventilation: 1 case

- ECMO: 0 cases

3. Number of deaths:

- Zero deaths were recorded today.

- Average number of deaths recorded over the past 7 days: 0 cases.

- The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,206, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.

- The total number of deaths ranks 26th out of 231 territories, and the number of deaths per million population ranks 141st out of 231 countries and territories worldwide . Compared to Asia, the total number of deaths ranks 7th out of 50 (3rd in ASEAN), and the number of deaths per million population ranks 29th out of 50 Asian countries and territories (5th in ASEAN).

Covid-19 vaccination situation

On May 28th, 78 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were administered. Thus, the total number of vaccine doses administered is 266,406,399, including:

The total number of doses for individuals aged 18 and over is 223,739,018: Dose 1: 70,909,168 doses; Dose 2: 68,455,652 doses; Supplementary dose: 14,344,115 doses; First booster dose: 52,132,872 doses; Second booster dose: 17,897,211 doses.

The total number of doses for children aged 12-17 years is 23,965,543: Dose 1: 9,130,889 doses; Dose 2: 9,021,366 doses; Booster dose 1: 5,813,288 doses.
