In September 1958, the Tra My District Party Committee assigned Comrade Huynh Kim (Huynh Phung) to Cang commune to guide party development. After nearly a year of establishment, on July 15, 1959, the Cang Commune Party Branch was founded. The Tra My District Party Committee appointed Comrade Dinh Dia as the Branch Secretary; Comrades Dinh Do and Dinh Tay as Branch Committee members.

The establishment of the Cang Commune Party Branch demonstrates that the revolutionary light of the Party has reached the people and the highlands. From here, the Xơ Đăng people of Cang Commune have had the leadership of the Party, and their awareness has shifted to a new era - an era of rising up to fight, break the chains and shackles, drive out foreign invaders, and liberate their homeland.

Under the leadership of the Party Branch, in December 1960, the militia and guerrillas of Cang commune, together with the people, set up spike traps, snares, and stone traps. With the assistance of armed units from Military Region 5, they fought to repel two enemy sweeps and reconnaissance operations in Ngok La village (hamlet 1) and Tak Rang village (hamlet 2), killing five enemy soldiers on the spot and seizing a number of enemy weapons, equipment, and supplies, which were then provided to our side.

On May 28, 2010, the President of Vietnam awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces during the anti-American war for national salvation to the Party Committee, government, and people of Tra Cang commune.

Over 65 years of establishment and development, from just 3 party members in the Cang Commune Party Branch, the Tra Cang Commune Party Committee now has 10 subordinate branches, with the number of party members increasing both in quality and quantity.

The Party Committee always prioritizes political and ideological education; promotes the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style, creating positive changes from awareness to action among cadres, Party members, and the people, fostering trust, unity, and cohesion within the Party.

During its leadership, the Party Committee of the commune has implemented many appropriate solutions; promptly and effectively applied the State's support policies, gradually improving the lives of the people, helping them escape poverty and rise to legitimate wealth.
