The events in the One Piece manga not only escalate the Elbaph arc to a climax, but also reveal a completely new power system, believed to be the foundation for Monkey D. Luffy's next transformation.

Currently in the story, Nerona Imu is facing Loki, while Luffy is constantly eating to prepare for the anticipated battle with the "King of the World ".

However, Luffy's current strength is still not enough to defeat Imu. Therefore, author Eiichiro Oda is believed to be secretly building the groundwork for Gear 6.

Gear 5 isn't Luffy's ultimate limit, is it?

In chapters 1,180 and 1,182, One Piece first reveals the concept of the special halos behind divine entities.
