This marks an important step by Google in popularizing the new generation of AI to the international market, where the demand for content creation and application of scientific technology is growing rapidly.
The Google AI Ultra package unlocks a comprehensive upgrade experience with access to Gemini 2.5 Pro Deep Think – an AI model that handles complex inference tasks quickly and accurately. Two prominent tools are Veo 3 and Flow, which support intuitive, personalized video creation on demand. Flow is considered a “filmmaking assistant” for both professional creators and ordinary users, although the audio creation feature is still experimental.
Notably, Veo 3 has been integrated into Gemini, allowing users to use the photo-to-video feature, turning still photos into 8-second videos with sound and motion effects. Just upload photos and describe the context, the system will automatically create vivid videos from everyday materials such as objects, paintings or landscapes.
According to Google, in just 7 weeks since its launch, more than 40 million videos have been created using Veo 3 via Flow and Gemini, demonstrating the great appeal of this technology in the global creative community. Currently, the Google AI Ultra package is priced at about 6 million VND / month and is applying a 50% discount for the first three months for the Vietnamese market.
Although the application potential is huge, the reality shows that the high price is a big barrier for the majority of Vietnamese users. With the above cost, Google AI Ultra clearly does not target the majority of ordinary individuals but mainly focuses on organizations, businesses, or groups that produce digital content, communications, marketing, etc.
Thus, ordinary individual users such as students, office workers or freelancers may not really need to use this Google AI Ultra package. Instead, users can consider the Google AI Pro version that was launched in May, with a more accessible price of about 490,000 VND/month. This package still provides access to the Gemini Pro model, supporting content writing, document summarization, information processing and quick idea creation, enough to meet the needs of learning and common work tasks.
In fact, in Vietnam, there are more and more videos created with AI that contain offensive, nonsense or culturally incorrect content. Instead of exploiting creativity in a positive way, many people have abused this technology to create videos that are revealing, overly sexy, distort famous people or simulate unhealthy behavior, causing negative impacts on society, especially among young people.
So the emergence of Google AI Ultra poses a major challenge in terms of content control. Putting complex video creation in the hands of ordinary users could fuel a wave of malicious AI videos flooding the internet, when there are not enough technical and legal barriers to prevent misconduct.
Although Google has integrated watermarks and SynthID recognition technology to clarify the origin of videos and applied strict content control methods, including red teaming and behavioral assessment, to prevent harmful content and ensure a safe experience for users, the above situation shows the urgent need to raise user awareness and strengthen content control in the digital space to maintain a healthy creative environment.
