Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, June 29, 2025, continued their slight upward trend, fluctuating between 93,900 and 94,200 VND/kg.

In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee increased by 400 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 93,900 VND/kg.

Today, domestic coffee prices rose slightly compared to the beginning of the week, a positive sign amidst a downward adjustment in global coffee prices. Despite the weakening international market, domestic coffee prices have remained stable and are showing an upward trend. Many dealers and farmers have taken advantage of the slight price recovery to sell, adding to the market's vibrancy.
According to traders, the recent price increase in Vietnam has prompted many investors holding short positions to buy back their contracts to lock in profits, contributing to short-term price support.
Forecasts for next week suggest domestic coffee prices could fluctuate between 94,000 and 95,000 VND/kg, assuming no major changes in the global market. However, in the medium term, the risk of oversupply remains if production from major exporting countries increases as predicted. Weather conditions and consumer demand in major markets such as the US and Europe will also significantly impact price trends in the coming period.
World coffee prices today
Coffee prices on the world market fell slightly on both exchanges:
Robusta coffee (London):
September 2025 delivery: Down $4/ton, to $3,661/ton.
November 2025 delivery: Decreased by $2/ton, to $3,593/ton.
Arabica coffee (New York):
September 2025 delivery: Down 1.9 cents/lb, to 303.75 cents/lb.
December 2025 delivery: Down 3 cents/lb, to 297.4 cents/lb.
Robusta coffee prices on the ICE exchange stabilized at the end of the week, after hitting a one-year low. This slight recovery came from speculators taking profits after short selling, amid a relatively positive outlook for global supply.
According to two experts who spoke to Reuters, Brazil's 2025 arabica coffee harvest is underway. However, in some areas, many coffee cherries have fallen to the ground, affecting the quality of the harvest.
Downward price pressure continues to dominate the market due to projected increases in production and declining consumer demand. Carlos Mera, Head of Agricultural Commodity Market Research at Rabobank, stated that arabica prices have fallen by as much as 17% in the past three months as production is assessed to be more favorable, while demand shows signs of weakening.
Regarding inventories, ICE-monitored robusta coffee stocks fell to a five-week low of just 5,108 lots as of Thursday. Arabica inventories also declined sharply, from a five-month peak of 892,468 bags to 844,319 bags on Friday. This is a factor that could contribute to supporting prices in the short term.
