Extending the traffic diversion period for the construction of Nhat Tan Bridge and its access roads.

The Hanoi Department of Construction has announced an extension of the traffic diversion and organization plan for the construction of the Nhat Tan Bridge and its access roads, in order to ensure the progress of important project components. The extension will last until September 30, 2025.

According to the published plan, the main construction items will focus on installing gantry structures and lane dividers. During the gantry structure foundation construction phase, the construction unit will work at night, from 10 PM to 5 AM the following morning. At this time, 1/3 of the road surface in both directions (East Anh - Tay Ho and vice versa) will be barricaded, with each section approximately 30 meters long at both ends of the bridge. Motorcycles will still be allowed to circulate mixed traffic on the remaining 2/3 of the road surface.

The installation of the gantry structure will take place between 0:00 and 4:00 AM. All access roads to the Nhat Tan Bridge in both directions will be barricaded, prohibiting all traffic. Vehicles will be directed to the access roads at both ends of the bridge to reroute via the Thang Long Bridge or other bridges.

For the construction of the lane divider barriers, the work will take place from 10 PM to 5 AM. The construction unit will barricade 1/3 of the bridge's surface adjacent to the motorbike lane, with each section approximately 300 meters long. Motorbikes will continue to use the remaining area for mixed traffic. The construction sequence will proceed from Vo Chi Cong Street towards Noi Bai Airport, then switch to the opposite direction using the same method.

During the day, traffic flows normally according to the current traffic organization plan, with no changes.

According to assessments, extending the traffic management time on Nhat Tan Bridge is necessary to meet construction deadlines, ensure quality, and guarantee the safety of the project. The Hanoi Department of Construction requests relevant units to strengthen coordination and promote public awareness so that people can proactively adjust their routes and avoid congestion during restricted hours.
