Extending traffic diversion time to serve the construction of Nhat Tan Bridge and the approach road to the bridge

The Hanoi Department of Construction has just announced an extension of the implementation time for the traffic diversion and organization plan for the construction of Nhat Tan Bridge and the approach road to the bridge, in order to ensure the progress of important items of the project. The extension will last until September 30, 2025.

According to the announced plan, the construction items mainly focus on installing gantry brackets and traffic lane barriers. During the gantry bracket pit construction phase, the construction unit will work at night, from 10pm to 5am the next morning. At this time, 1/3 of the road surface in both directions of Dong Anh - Tay Ho and vice versa will be barricaded, each section is about 30m long at both ends of the bridge. Motorcycles are still allowed to circulate on the remaining 2/3 of the road surface.

The gantry installation phase will be carried out between 0:00 and 4:00 a.m. The entire approach road to Nhat Tan Bridge in both directions will be barricaded, prohibiting all traffic. Vehicles will be guided to move down the approach road at both ends of the bridge to change direction to follow Thang Long Bridge or other bridges.

For the construction of the lane divider fence, the implementation time is from 10pm to 5am. The construction unit will fence off 1/3 of the bridge surface next to the motorbike lane, with each section being about 300m long. Motorbikes will continue to circulate mixedly on the remaining area. The construction sequence is implemented from Vo Chi Cong Street towards Noi Bai Airport, then switch to the opposite direction with the same method.

During the day, vehicles circulate normally according to the current traffic organization plan, without any changes.

According to the assessment, the extension of traffic organization time on Nhat Tan Bridge is necessary to meet the construction progress, ensure the quality and safety of the project. Hanoi Department of Construction requested relevant units to strengthen coordination, at the same time, promote information to people to proactively adjust the route, avoid concentrating large numbers of vehicles during limited time frames.
