Today, December 25, 2025, domestic rice prices saw a slight increase for milled rice but remained unchanged for paddy rice. Meanwhile, Vietnam's export rice prices remained unchanged.

The rice market on December 25, 2025, saw few new changes for both paddy and rice.

Rice prices today (December 25th) remain unchanged; it's the end of the harvest season, supply is low, and demand is limited.

• Fresh IR 50404 rice is currently priced around 5,300 - 5,400 VND/kg; fresh OM 5451 rice is trading at 5,500 - 5,600 VND/kg; and fresh OM 18 rice is priced at 6,400 - 6,600 VND/kg.
• Fresh OM 380 rice is maintaining a price around 5,700 - 5,900 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice is priced at 6,000 - 6,200 VND/kg. Meanwhile, fresh Dai Thom 8 rice is fluctuating around 6,400 - 6,600 VND/kg.
• The price of fresh IR 4625 glutinous rice is currently at 7,300 - 7,500 VND/kg; while dried IR 4625 glutinous rice is priced at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg. The price of 3-month dried glutinous rice is trading around 9,600 - 9,700 VND/kg.

As for rice prices today (December 25th), they are trending downwards, with supply being sporadic, and many large warehouses still buying only small amounts.

• The price of raw IR 50404 rice is 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg; the price of finished IR 50404 rice is 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg;
• The price of OM 5451 raw rice fluctuates between 8,150 and 8,300 VND/kg; while OM 18 raw rice is priced at 8,500 to 8,600 VND/kg.
• Raw OM 380 rice is priced at 7,200 - 7,300 VND/kg; while finished OM 380 rice is priced at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, finished CL 555 rice is priced at 7,340 - 7,450 VND/kg.
• The price of IR 504 raw rice fluctuates between 7,550 and 7,650 VND/kg; finished IR 504 rice fluctuates between 9,500 and 9,700 VND/kg. Soc Thom raw rice is priced at 7,500 - 7,600 VND/kg. Dai Thom 8 rice is trading around 8,800 - 9,050 VND/kg (an increase of 50 VND).
• The price of glutinous rice is currently 21,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; regular rice is at 11,000 - 12,000 VND/kg; and Nang Nhen rice is priced at 28,000 VND/kg.
• The price of long-grain fragrant rice ranges from 20,000 to 22,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice is priced at 16,000 to 17,000 VND/kg; and Huong Lai rice remains at 22,000 VND/kg.
• Common white rice is being purchased at 16,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice is currently at 21,000 VND/kg; regular Soc rice is at 16,000 - 17,000 VND/kg; and Soc Thai rice is at 20,000 VND/kg.
• Taiwanese fragrant rice is currently priced at 20,000 VND/kg, while Japanese rice remains at 22,000 VND/kg.

For by-products, the price of broken rice is currently at 7,500 - 7,600 VND/kg, while the price of rice bran is at 10,000 - 11,000 VND/kg.

On the export market, Vietnamese rice prices remain stable. Accordingly, standard 100% broken rice is priced at 319 - 323 USD/ton; 5% broken rice is purchased at 435 - 460 USD/ton; and Jasmine rice is priced at 453 - 457 USD/ton.

Therefore, rice prices today, December 25, 2025, remained mostly unchanged compared to yesterday.

Agribank understands the capital needs in the High-Quality Rice Cultivation Project (1 million hectares).

In line with the Government's policy on sustainable agricultural development and greenhouse gas emission reduction, Agribank and its branches in Can Tho City (Can Tho II, Soc Trang, and Hau Giang) are actively coordinating with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to implement the Project on 1 million hectares of high-quality, low-emission rice.

As the leading state-owned commercial bank in the "three rural sectors" (agriculture, farmers, and rural areas), Agribank has signed numerous cooperation programs with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , and has implemented a credit package for linking rice production, processing, and consumption worth up to 30,000 billion VND in the Mekong Delta region.

Accordingly, businesses, cooperatives, cooperative groups, and farmers participating in the value chain enjoy preferential interest rates that are 1–1.5% lower per year than usual, with unsecured loans up to 80% of the project value. In the Southwest region, 100% of Agribank branches have established Steering Committees to implement the Project; Agribank Can Tho II is assigned as the coordinating agency. During the 2024–2025 period, the branches have approached 41 businesses, 415 cooperatives and cooperative groups, and nearly 5,000 households, with a total expected loan commitment of 760 billion VND.

Despite initial successes, the implementation process still faces difficulties due to small-scale production, traditional farming practices, and inconsistent local mechanisms. In light of this, Agribank has identified the Project as a key political task, continuing to strengthen coordination, dissemination of information, training, and the selection of key linkages, thereby contributing to enhancing the value of Vietnamese rice and improving the livelihoods of farmers in the Mekong Delta.
