Latest durian price news
Currently, localities in Dong Nai are entering the durian harvest season. Although the supply is abundant, the export situation is facing many obstacles, leading to a sharp drop in durian prices.
Despite the price drop, traders are still not as active in purchasing as in previous years. Many traders have paid deposits to farmers but still leave durian in the garden, waiting for the export market to recover.
Durian exporting businesses are also facing many challenges such as: increased costs, long customs clearance times, and the risk of goods being returned.
According to data from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, durian exports in the first four months of 2025 reached only 183 million USD, down 60.9% compared to the same period last year. In particular, exports to the Chinese market decreased by 75.5%, to only 105.7 million USD.
