Domestic pepper prices today, May 13, 2026, remained unchanged across the five key pepper-producing regions. The average price across the region was 143,100 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous session.

Pepper prices in Gia Lai today, May 13th, remain unchanged at 141,500 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Gia Lai continues to have the lowest pepper prices in the Central Highlands and Southeast regions.

Pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau today, May 13th, remain unchanged at 143,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. This price is the same as in Binh Phuoc.

Pepper prices in Dak Lak today, May 13th, remain unchanged at 144,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Dak Lak, along with Dak Nong, are the two regions with the highest pepper prices in the area.

According to data from the International Pepper Association (IPC), world black pepper prices today, May 13, 2026, are mixed, with Indonesia seeing an increase while prices in other countries remain stable. The price difference between Malaysia and Brazil, the countries with the highest prices, is as much as US$3,150 per ton.

Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices today, May 13th, reached US$7,042 per ton, up US$75 per ton (+1.08%) from the previous session. This marks the second consecutive day of increases for Indonesian black pepper, indicating strong buying pressure in the market.

The price of Brazilian black pepper, grade ASTA 570, today, May 13th, remains unchanged at $6,150 per ton compared to the previous session. This is the lowest-priced black pepper on the world market today.

The price of Malaysian Kuching black pepper (ASTA grade) today, May 13th, stands at $9,300 per ton, unchanged from the previous session. Malaysian black pepper continues to be the most expensive in the world.

The price of Vietnamese black pepper (500 g/l) today, May 13th, is $6,100 per ton, unchanged from the previous session. The price for the 550 g/l variety is $6,200 per ton, also unchanged. Vietnam continues to maintain competitive pricing compared to Brazil.

World white pepper prices today, May 13th

World white pepper prices today, May 13, 2026, saw a slight increase in Indonesia, while prices remained stable in other countries. The difference between Malaysia (highest) and Vietnam (lowest) was $3,200 per ton.

Indonesian Muntok white pepper prices today, May 13th, reached US$9,234 per ton, an increase of US$55 per ton (+0.60%) compared to the previous session. This increase is in line with Indonesian black pepper prices.

The price of Malaysian ASTA white pepper today, May 13th, stands at US$12,200 per ton, unchanged from the previous session. Malaysian white pepper continues to be the most expensive in the world.

The price of Vietnamese white pepper today, May 13th, remains at $9,000 per ton, unchanged from the previous session.

The US significantly increased pepper imports in March 2026.

According to statistics from the International Trade Centre (ITC), in March 2026, the US imported 8,153 tons of pepper worth $61.5 million. Compared to the same period in March 2025, the import volume increased by 20.9%. Compared to the previous month, the import volume increased by 37.4% and the value increased by 36.7%.

Vietnam continues to be the largest supplier to the US with 6,008 tons, up 21.1% from the previous month and accounting for 73.7% of total US imports. Brazil ranks second with 661 tons, a sharp increase of 1,101.8% compared to February. Indonesia reached 631 tons, up 115.4%. India reached 614 tons, up 34.6%.

In the first three months of 2026, the US imported 21,497 tons of pepper worth $163.3 million, a slight decrease of 0.4% in volume but an increase of 2.7% in value compared to the same period in 2025. Vietnam maintained its position as the largest supplier with 16,781 tons, an increase of 28.7% and accounting for 78.1% of the total US pepper imports in the first quarter.

Other sources of supply declined sharply. Indonesia saw a 66.4% drop to 1,519 tonnes. India decreased by 29.5% to 1,537 tonnes. Brazil was one of the few countries to experience growth, with 1,016 tonnes, up 10.9% year-on-year. The US continues to rely heavily on pepper supplies from Vietnam as other sources decline sharply in early 2026.
