
According to data from the Department of Construction, the value of construction output at current prices for the first 11 months of 2025 is estimated at over 39,202 billion VND, of which non-state enterprises account for 73.16%, state-owned enterprises account for 2.49%, FDI enterprises account for 0.01%, and the remaining 24.35% belongs to other types of enterprises.
Housing projects reached nearly 13,644 billion VND (accounting for 34.8%). Lao Cai has completed support for 12,915 houses under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses with a total budget of nearly 1,450 billion VND, exceeding the target set by the Government.

In addition, the province is implementing 48 commercial housing projects (10,108 detached houses, 259 apartments); 4 social housing projects (4,345 units) and preparing to start construction on 5 more projects with approximately 4,099 units, with 1,580 units expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
Non-residential construction projects are estimated at over 7,860 billion VND (accounting for 20.05%). For civil engineering projects, the total investment reached over 16,386 billion VND (accounting for 41.8%), leading in scale, including key projects such as: inter-regional roads, Provincial Road 156 - BV21; urban routes; Phu Thinh Bridge; upgrading National Highway 279; road connecting Lang Giang Bridge - National Highway 70; Muong La - Than Uyen - Tan Uyen - Mu Cang Chai route; Sa Pa Airport phase 2; Red River embankment...

Specialized construction activities reached over 1,312 billion VND (accounting for 3.35%), including: land leveling for resettlement areas and new residential areas; infrastructure for industrial zones and clusters; pile driving and foundation construction for some schools; and infrastructure for urban sub-districts.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, construction activity shifted strongly towards large-scale projects funded by both government budgets and corporate capital.
