Import-export value through Lao Cai border gates in 4 months reached 440.23 million USD

A representative of the Border Gate Department, Lao Cai Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, said that the total value of imported and exported goods through border gates in the province in the first 4 months of 2025 reached 440.23 million USD.

Customs clearance activities at the border gate are stable with about 300 trucks/day.

Mr. Pham Hung, Head of Border Gate Department, Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, said that the turnover divided by type includes: Export turnover in 4 months reached 213.34 million USD (in April alone reached 54.52 million USD). Import turnover reached 196.39 million USD (in April alone reached 47.58 million USD). Import and export of other types reached 30.5 million USD (in April alone reached 11.32 million USD).

Main export items include: bananas, watermelons, dragon fruit, rambutans, pomelos and grapefruit.

The turnover is divided by each border gate, specifically: The international road border gate has a total value of import and export goods reaching 331.18 million USD. The international railway border gate has a total value of import and export goods reaching 108.95 million USD. The Ban Vuoc sub-border gate has a total value of import and export goods reaching more than 102 thousand USD.
