The price of SJC gold was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) at 83.6-85.6 million VND/tael, an increase of 400,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions, compared to the previous trading session.

DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold today at 83.9 million VND/tael for buying and 84.9 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 400,000 VND/tael for both buying and selling compared to yesterday.

At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 84.6-85.6 million VND/tael for buying and selling. Compared to yesterday, the buying price of SJC Mi Hong gold increased by 200,000 VND/tael, the selling price increased by 400,000 VND/tael.

SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded at 83.6-85.6 million VND/tael (buy - sell). At Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is also traded at 82.7-85.2 million VND/tael (buy - sell). World gold price today December 11, 2024 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours

According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,692.85 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 1.24% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,553 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 82.9 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 2.7 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices hit a two-week high on Tuesday, supported by rising geopolitical tensions and expectations of a third interest rate cut by the US Federal Reserve next week, while market attention turned to US inflation data due on Wednesday.

“Concerns about rising tensions in the Middle East are driving safe-haven demand,” said Peter Grant, vice president and senior metals strategist at Zaner Metals.

“There is also a renewed focus on global easing trends – we will see the Bank of Canada cut rates, the ECB and SNB later this week, and the Fed is likely to cut next week.”

Attention is on Wednesday's US Consumer Price Index (CPI), which is expected to have risen 0.3% in November, according to a Reuters poll, and Thursday's Producer Price Index (PPI), both of which will play a key role in shaping the Fed's rate-cutting decisions.

“CPI data will have a limited impact on gold, especially if we get the expected number. A hot CPI report will further reduce the likelihood of a rate cut in early 2025,” said Fawad Razaqzada, market analyst at Forex.com.

With two US interest rate cuts already this year, traders are pricing in an 86% chance the Fed will cut another 25 basis points at its December 17-18 meeting, according to CME's FedWatch tool .

Gold is considered a safe investment during times of economic and geopolitical uncertainty and tends to thrive in lower interest rate environments.

Elsewhere, China's Politburo was quoted as saying on Monday that the country will adopt "reasonably loose" monetary policy and more proactive fiscal measures next year.

“Any major announcement could boost gold prices as China is the biggest consumer, especially ahead of the Lunar New Year when demand for jewelry as gifts increases,” Razaqzada added.

Spot silver rose 0.7% to $32.04 an ounce, platinum rose 0.5% to $940.90 and palladium fell 0.4% to $969.52.
