SJC and Doji gold bar price list updated on the afternoon of July 24
The world gold price this morning turned down quite sharply. At 8:50 am today (July 24, Vietnam time), the world spot gold price was at 3,389.1 USD/ounce, down 28.9 USD/ounce compared to last night.
On the morning of July 24 , the world gold price converted to USD bank price was over 108.5 million VND/tael, including tax and fees, about 13.5 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.
As of 8:00 p.m. on July 23 (Vietnam time), the spot gold price on the international market was at $3,418/ounce. Gold for August 2025 delivery on the Comex New York floor was at $3,424/ounce.
The world gold price on the night of July 23 was about 30.2% higher (equivalent to 793 USD/ounce) than at the end of 2024. World gold converted to the bank USD price was 109.5 million VND/tael, including taxes and fees, about 13.2 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price as of the end of the afternoon session on July 23.
Gold prices on the New York floor on the evening of July 24 (Vietnam time) fell sharply, losing more than 14 USD to 3,418 USD/ounce in the context of the USD remaining weak but stock markets improving after positive signals about the trade agreement between the US and the EU and Japan.
Asian and European stock markets mostly rose in the session on July 23. Meanwhile, US stock indexes opened quite positively.

Money is flowing into risky assets like stocks as the US and Japan have just announced a trade deal. Accordingly, the US will impose a 15% tariff on imports from Japan, including cars; at the same time, Japan will set up a $550 billion investment fund in the US.
President Donald Trump called the trade deal "the biggest ever."
The Wall Street Journal also reported that "the global economy has impressive resilience, overcoming negative forecasts about the impact of trade wars".
Gold prices also fell due to a sharp drop in oil, a commodity closely related to gold. WTI crude oil prices fell 0.4% to $65/barrel. The drop in oil prices has made investors less concerned about rising inflation, thereby reducing the attractiveness of gold.
Domestic gold prices continued to increase sharply. By the end of the trading session on July 23, the price of 9999 gold bars at SJC and Doji was listed at 120.7-122.7 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 700,000 VND in both buying and selling compared to the previous session.
SJC announced the price of gold rings of type 1-5 at only 115.5-118 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 500,000 VND in both buying and selling. Doji listed plain rings at 117-119.5 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 400,000 VND in both buying and selling.
Gold Price Forecast
Gold prices fell back following a recent pattern: profit-taking pressure increased after each strong increase.
Gold had earlier benefited from rumors about the possibility of Fed Chairman Jerome Powell facing pressure from the Donald Trump administration. Mr. Powell gave his first speech on the evening of July 22 after a week full of negative information. However, the head of the Fed did not mention anything about his leadership position.
Investors are still betting on Mr. Powell to adopt a more dovish policy soon. The Fed is likely to cut interest rates at its September meeting. At that time, the USD will weaken further, thereby pushing gold prices up.
Many organizations predict that gold will continue to be in a long-term uptrend as countries are reducing their dependence on the USD and increasing their gold purchases. The USD is also in a long-term downtrend.
The precious metal is expected to break out firmly from the $3,400/ounce threshold and set a new record (surpassing $3,500) as the Fed implements its easing policy.
