Ca Mau: Searching for escaped crocodile in Kinh Hoi

On July 26, the Economic Department of Khanh Binh Commune People's Committee (Ca Mau Province) said that local authorities are actively searching for the remaining crocodile after the crocodile escaped from its cage in the area.

Earlier, on the morning of July 24, at a crocodile farm in Kinh Hoi hamlet, an incident occurred where two crocodiles escaped from their cage. Late that night, the police, local authorities and people surrounded and captured one crocodile under Kinh Hoi canal. The other crocodile has not yet been found.

To ensure people's safety, Khanh Binh Commune Economic Department has issued a document directing hamlet chiefs to increase propaganda, advise people to be vigilant, not let children bathe in the river, and not arbitrarily approach or hunt crocodiles.

Crocodile farmers in the area are required to review and strengthen their barns to ensure absolute safety. In case of an incident, they must immediately notify the local authorities for timely coordination and handling.
