Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung requested localities to deploy remedial measures with the spirit of "fastest - most drastic - most effective", to soon stabilize people's lives. In the immediate future, absolutely do not let people lack food, lack clothes, have no place to live; localities must focus on repairing essential works, restoring traffic, electricity, information, schools, environmental sanitation to soon bring life back to normal... On this occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister presented support to 20 families whose houses were completely collapsed (60 million VND each) and 150 gifts (more than 2 million VND each) to affected households in the 3 above-mentioned localities.

Storm No. 13 with heavy rains has washed away the railway bed of Km1136 (Van Canh - Phuoc Lanh route) up to 9m deep and more than 90m long. The railway line's base is damaged, hanging in the air; some locations are severely eroded, signal poles have fallen, seriously affecting the railway infrastructure... Construction forces have opened temporary roads, mobilized thousands of rocks from outside to reinforce and create the railway bed. In the immediate future, a temporary bridge consisting of 2 abutments, 2 pillars and 3 steel beam spans will be built, ensuring that trains can travel through the landslide area at a speed of 5km/hour.
On November 9, 100% of communes and wards in Hue City simultaneously launched an environmental restoration campaign in association with the "Green Sunday" movement to rebuild the urban landscape, contributing to disease prevention and control after long periods of heavy rain and floods. Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, emphasized that cleaning up after floods not only helps the urban landscape to be restored soon, people's lives and activities return to normal, but is also an opportunity to "revive" the spirit of "Green Sunday" after a period of interruption due to prolonged heavy rain and floods.
