Gold prices continue to break records
Gold prices have been increasing "crazily" without stopping in recent days, causing many people with idle money to regret missing the opportunity to surf and make a profit.
At 7:00 p.m. today, March 18, the world gold price reached 3,030 USD/ounce, an increase of 28.8 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's session, equivalent to 893,000 VND/tael.
Converted according to the exchange rate listed at the bank, the world gold price is equivalent to 93.92 million VND/tael.
The world gold price has increased rapidly since mid-January. Compared to mid-January, the world gold price has increased by about 330 USD/ounce, equivalent to 10.3 million VND/tael.
Meanwhile, domestic gold price increased by 13 million VND/tael, bringing the selling price of gold from around 86 million VND/tael to around 90 million VND/tael.
Compared to the rate of return from other investment channels such as savings, USD, stocks, etc., the gold channel has brought much higher profits if calculated from the beginning of the year until now. Buying 1 tael of gold at the beginning of the year at a price of about 8.5 million VND/tael has made a profit so far.
This factor has boosted domestic gold buying power in recent days. Meanwhile, gold holders are not selling because they expect higher prices. Combined with the fact that supply is somewhat scarce because raw gold has not been imported for many years, domestic gold prices have been continuously pushed up.
Expert Tran Duy Phuong predicts that with the current situation, there is a high possibility that domestic gold prices will reach 100 million VND/tael if world gold prices continue to rise.

"Currently, many people have the mentality of buying gold at all costs because they think that the price of gold will increase sharply in the coming time. Not to mention that due to psychological factors and supply, the domestic gold price increases much faster than the world gold price," Mr. Phuong predicted.
The rapid increase in gold prices has surprised many people.
At Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the selling price of gold rings early this afternoon reached 97.8 million VND/tael, while the buying price was 96.3 million VND/tael. However, that was not the final price. By the end of today, the selling price of 9999 gold rings here reached 98.8 million VND/tael, the buying price was 97.25 million VND/tael.
Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai Company, the selling price of gold rings this afternoon reached 99.1 million VND/tael, buying price was 97.45 million VND/tael. This is also the highest price on the market.
SJC Company also increased the price of gold rings to 98.2 million VND/tael, the buying price jumped to 96.6 million VND/tael.
Meanwhile, the buying and selling price of SJC gold bars is equal to the selling price of gold rings, and the buying price is 100,000 VND/tael higher than the buying price of gold rings.
At PNJ Company, the selling price of gold rings jumped to 98.5 million VND/tael. The buying price also increased sharply to 96.9 million VND/tael.
Thus, in just the past week, the price of gold rings has increased by 4.6 million VND/tael. This is also a record increase in recent times.
