Domestic gold prices increased due to the influence of the international market. Early this morning, the price of the precious metal was 3,241 USD/ounce, compared to 3,211 USD/ounce at the same time the previous day.
By 9am, the gold price had risen to $3,274.8 per ounce, about VND7 million per tael lower than the domestic gold price. In addition, the domestic gold price increased due to high demand.
In the foreign exchange market, the State Bank of Vietnam announced the central exchange rate of VND to USD, applicable for April 16, 2025, as 1 USD = 24,899 VND, an increase of 8 VND compared to April 15.
However, BIDV listed the USD price at 25,640 VND (buy) - 26,000 VND (sell), down 45 VND compared to April 15.
Vietcombank decreased from 25,650 VND (buy) - 26,010 VND (sell) to 25,640 VND (buy) - 26,000 VND (sell).
