Inter Miami is selling season tickets for the 2024 season, but at a whopping $4,240. That’s a 99% increase from the 2020 season ticket price, when the team first went on sale for just $2,125. It’s all because of the Messi effect.

Inter Miami's season ticket prices for the 2024 season are several times higher than the season tickets of the two giant clubs Real Madrid and Barcelona in La Liga (Spain) sold to fans with official membership cards. Specifically, Real Madrid sells a season ticket for about 522 USD (more than 12.7 million VND), while Barcelona is 1,021 USD (about 24.9 million VND).
In the Premier League, the club with the most expensive season tickets is Fulham, with a price of around $3,622. Other top clubs such as Arsenal, Tottenham, Man City, MU, Newcastle and West Ham all have season tickets starting at around $1,207.
This is considered a huge jump in ticket sales for Inter Miami since Messi arrived. Not to mention other sources of revenue from the match, such as jersey sales, a surge in social media followers, and a significant increase in season ticket applications.
"In addition to season tickets, ticket prices in the most exclusive areas, especially in the front rows, including access to the VIP area, have also increased to 13,005 USD/ticket (more than 317 million VND). Meanwhile, VIP seating areas for 4 seats, with access to the team's central area, food and drinks, and interaction with players and celebrities, are now sold for nearly 46,000 USD per season (more than 1.1 billion VND)," Marca said.
Messi not only helps Inter Miami increase ticket sales, but other clubs in the MLS also benefit when ticket prices increase for matches featuring this famous player.
"Despite the significant price increase, Inter Miami's 2024 season ticket prices are still relatively affordable compared to other major sports in the US. For example, NFL tickets from 2022 will cost an average of $112 per ticket, while NBA tickets can range from $90 to $120 in some markets. Inter Miami's ticket prices, which could range from $50 to $80 for the upcoming season, still represent good value for fans who want to see Messi on the pitch," Marca shared.
