Brent oil price hits $66.73, WTI surpasses $64 amid market volatility
According to Oilprice at 4:30 a.m. on July 1, 2025 (Vietnam time), Brent oil price is currently at 66.73 USD/barrel, down 0.11% (equivalent to 0.08 USD/barrel).
Meanwhile, WTI oil price increased to 64.64 USD/barrel, with an increase of 0.12% (equivalent to 0.08 USD/barrel).
Although both crudes just suffered their biggest weekly declines since March 2023, they are still on track for a second consecutive month of gains, with total gains exceeding 5%.
Oil prices had previously topped $80 a barrel after Israel launched strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities on June 13, sparking a 12-day conflict. However, prices quickly fell back as geopolitical concerns eased.
Many analysts warn that downward pressure on prices could continue amid concerns about slowing global oil demand, especially from China, the world's largest oil importer.
E5RON92 gasoline increased by 280 VND/liter, Diesel price jumped by 550 VND
According to the adjustment announcement from 3:00 p.m. on June 26 by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, domestic retail gasoline prices have increased across the board compared to the previous adjustment period. Specifically, the price of E5RON92 gasoline has increased by VND280/liter, reaching VND20,910/liter; meanwhile, RON95 gasoline has increased by VND260/liter, reaching VND21,500/liter.
For the oil group, the price of diesel 0.05S increased by VND550/liter, currently at VND19,700/liter; kerosene increased by VND490/liter, reaching VND19,410/liter; conversely, mazut 180CST 3.5S decreased by VND370/kg, to VND17,260/kg.
In this management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance decided not to set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund for all petroleum products. Since the beginning of 2025, domestic petroleum prices have undergone 26 adjustments, including 9 decreases, 11 increases and 6 opposite changes.
