On the afternoon of May 22, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance announced changes in retail prices of gasoline products.
Based on the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, petroleum businesses will simultaneously adjust petroleum prices from 3:00 p.m. today.
Compared to 7 days ago, in today's operating period, the price of RON 95 gasoline (common type on the market) decreased by 60 VND/liter, the retail price is 19,530 VND/liter.
Similarly, the price of E5 gasoline was adjusted down by 60 VND/liter, the retail price is now 19,120 VND/liter.
In the opposite direction, diesel price was adjusted up 180 VND/liter, selling price at 17,400 VND/liter.

Similar to previous operating periods, in today's operating period, the joint Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance still does not deduct nor spend from the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products.
In the most recent adjustment period (May 15), the price of RON 95 gasoline was adjusted up by VND420/liter, the retail price was raised to VND19,590/liter. The price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by VND410/liter, the selling price was raised to VND19,180/liter.
Diesel price increased by 420 VND/liter, retail price up to 17,220 VND/liter.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, since implementing the adjustment of gasoline prices every 7 days, the price fluctuation between two basic adjustments has not been large, and domestic gasoline prices basically follow the world price movements.
In the coming time, the regulatory agency will continue to implement solutions to ensure domestic gasoline supply.
