Gasoline prices continue to rise, while diesel prices fall slightly.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance have just adjusted fuel prices, with an increase for gasoline and a slight decrease for diesel, effective from 3 PM on February 20th.

Accordingly, E5 RON 92 gasoline will have a new price of 20,855 VND/liter, an increase of 257 VND/liter compared to the current price. Diesel fuel 0.05S is priced at 19,063 VND/liter, a decrease of 10 VND/liter. Kerosene is priced at 19,513 VND/liter, an increase of 40 VND/liter compared to the current price; mazut 180CST 3.5S is adjusted to 17,596 VND/kg, a decrease of 183 VND/kg.

In this price adjustment period, the inter-ministerial committee decided to continue not allocating to or using the fuel price stabilization fund for E5 RON 92 gasoline, RON 95 gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, and fuel oil.

According to the inter-ministerial agency of Industry and Trade - Finance, the market gasoline The global economic period from February 1st to 6th was influenced by several factors, with a predominantly downward trend.

These factors include cold weather in the US affecting oil supplies, Ukraine attacking Russian oil infrastructure, Israel and Hamas expected to begin indirect negotiations on phase 2 of the ceasefire agreement between the two sides, and discussions on ending the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine…

The factors mentioned above have caused world oil prices to generally fluctuate, rising or falling depending on the specific product, in recent days.

Specifically, gasoline prices tended to increase by nearly 1.5%, while kerosene decreased slightly by 0.03%, diesel decreased by 0.34%, and fuel oil decreased by 1.59%.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced that gasoline and diesel traders will adjust prices at 3 PM today, February 20th.

The ministry stated that in order to adjust gasoline and diesel prices, it will coordinate with relevant agencies to inspect and monitor the fulfillment of responsibilities by gasoline and diesel traders in ensuring the supply of gasoline and diesel to the market, and will strictly handle violations.

Thus, after three consecutive increases and two consecutive decreases, gasoline prices continue their slight upward trend. Meanwhile, after falling for two consecutive sessions and then rising again in the previous period, oil prices have slightly decreased this time, except for diesel.
