Speaking at the session, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man affirmed that the first Dien Hong Award Ceremony was a great success, leaving a lasting impression on the Vietnamese journalistic community.

The first Dien Hong Award created a strong and impressive impact in many aspects, attracting the attention of numerous media outlets in particular, and the entire political system, voters, and people nationwide, regarding the position, role, and activities of elected bodies and elected representatives, and honoring journalists who write about elected bodies. Along with the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award, the National Journalism Award, and the National Award for Foreign Information, the first Dien Hong Award initially built a "brand" in the journalistic community, laying the groundwork for the implementation of subsequent Dien Hong Awards.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the Speaker of the National Assembly and the Deputy Speakers, the Permanent Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly acknowledges, highly appreciates, and thanks the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Journalists Association, the Hanoi People's Committee, Vietnam Television, Vietnam Radio, Vietnam News Agency, and relevant agencies and units, especially the sponsors, for their close cooperation with the Organizing Committee and the National Assembly Office in successfully organizing the award.

The members of the Steering Committee contributed many ideas.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly also requested that the Organizing Committee and the National Assembly Office incorporate the feedback received to propose to the Steering Committee of the second Dien Hong Award in 2024; quickly finalize and issue the Organization Plan and Regulations for the second Dien Hong Award; promptly develop and issue a plan for promoting the second Dien Hong Award; and pay more attention to the quality of the awarded works.

Training courses should be organized for central and local journalists on the organization and operation of elected bodies and elected representatives to produce more high-quality, lively, fresh, and multi-faceted works for the competition; effective coordination between the entities in the Organizing Committee and between the Organizing Committee and relevant units and organizations should be strengthened and emphasized to ensure the resources for the successful organization of the competition in accordance with the directives of the Steering Committee and the Organizing Committee of the Second Dien Hong Award.

In agreement with the summary report of the first Dien Hong Award, the members of the Award Steering Committee believe that the first Dien Hong Award in 2023 was a great success, attracting widespread attention from all sectors of the population and creating a broad impact on the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils.

Nguyen Duc Loi, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, delivered a speech at the concluding session.

Delegates noted that the lessons learned from organizing the first Dien Hong Award, which contributed to the overall success of the award, included effective communication; the screening of works, especially the strengthening of the preliminary judging panel to select outstanding works; and a clear coordination mechanism between relevant agencies and units.

The meeting was held to evaluate, summarize, and draw lessons from the organization of the first Dien Hong Award and to better prepare for the organization of the second Dien Hong Award, which is expected to take place in the first week of January 2024, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly.
