On December 19th, the Quang Ngai Provincial Museum, in collaboration with the People's Committee of Mang Den commune, organized the opening of an exhibition and demonstration of traditional handicrafts of the Xo Dang ethnic group.
The exhibition space is vividly arranged in the Mang Den market area, featuring over 250 images and 127 artifacts, including traditional tools, implements, and utensils crafted by Xo Dang artisans over various periods.

These artifacts reflect a diverse range of crafts such as blacksmithing, basket weaving, brocade weaving, leaf yeast making, and rice wine production—crafts closely linked to the daily life and production activities of the local people.
The highlight of the event was the live demonstration and crafting by 15 artisans, providing viewers with a vivid and engaging experience. Through each stage, folk knowledge and craft skills were naturally conveyed, helping the public better understand the value of the traditional crafts of the Xơ Đăng people, passed down through generations.
Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, Director of the Quang Ngai Provincial General Museum, said that the exhibition and performance space not only contributes to preserving and promoting the value of traditional handicrafts of the Xo Dang ethnic group but also raises awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, and the community in preserving the national cultural heritage. At the same time, it creates conditions for artisans to practice, introduce, and spread the value of the heritage to a wide audience of people, tourists, students, and researchers.
The event, which took place over three days from December 19th to 21st, attracted a large number of students, tourists, and local residents who came to visit and experience it.
