On March 29th, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Sports and Physical Education ngành and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the People's Committee of Hoc Mon commune, Ho Chi Minh City, organized the " Olympic Run for Public Health 2026", attracting approximately 1,200 participants.
In particular, the event was even more meaningful with the participation of over 600 students from the area, creating a vibrant and youthful atmosphere.


Security and medical personnel were well-positioned to support the athletes throughout the 1,800m race.

The event attracted the participation of 20 schools in the area.
In her opening remarks, Ms. Le Thi Mong Nghi, Standing Committee member of the Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoc Mon commune, reiterated President Ho Chi Minh's teaching on the spirit of "A strong people makes a prosperous nation."
Engaging in sports is not only the duty of every patriotic citizen but also a key factor in building a healthy nation and contributing to the defense of the homeland. "Every healthy citizen is a 'healthy cell' of the country," Ms. Nghi emphasized.
For the younger generation, in addition to studying, maintaining good health is also essential and needs more attention from family, school, and local authorities.
Each running route showcases the unique characteristics of the homeland, featuring historical landmarks associated with this heroic revolutionary land. Through this activity, Ms. Nghi hopes that students will gain valuable experiences in healthy living, expand their friendships, build confidence in communication, and deepen their love for their homeland.
