On June 15, thousands of journalists, reporters, editors, staff of press agencies, along with a large number of readers and sports lovers, joined the "Run to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
From 6am, after the whistle sounded loudly, thousands of "special athletes" began to leave the starting line, running through the familiar streets, the symbol of Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City, the city that is always bustling and is the cradle, the major center of the country's press. People of all ages, from veteran journalists with silver hair, to young, energetic reporters, along with enthusiastic collaborators and readers, all marched together.

Each step is like a tribute to the generation of fathers and brothers who used their pens as weapons to fight for national independence and steadfastly protect the Fatherland. The rhythmic, synchronized footsteps resound like an epic about solidarity, endurance and strong will - the qualities that have made the brand of Vietnamese revolutionary journalists.
Along the race, supporters – colleagues, relatives, friends and city residents – enthusiastically cheered and clapped their hands to encourage. The shouts of "Keep going!" and "Long live the revolutionary press!" resounded with emotion. In particular, the image of colleagues running together, standing side by side, supporting each other to overcome the journey, further highlighted the team spirit and solidarity within the community of writers.

There were emotional moments when young journalists ran alongside and held hands with their seniors, as a sacred connection between the glorious past and the promising future. They ran not only with their feet, but also with their hearts full of enthusiasm and love for their profession. The race became a vivid, colorful picture of a team with sharp intelligence, good health and optimism, ready to take on any challenge. Image:

Joy and jubilation were evident on each sweaty face. Warm hugs and warm congratulations were given. The commemorative medals were not only rewards for physical efforts, but also sacred mementos marking a day when they lived fully with history and professional pride.

More than just a sport, the race has become a cultural event, a living symbol of the strength, solidarity and immortal spirit of revolutionary journalism. Those footsteps, like the sharp pen of the past, are still and will continue to write new heroic pages of history for the country's journalism in the next century. The glorious 100-year journey has passed, but the journey of serving the Fatherland and the people with a genuine pen, a warm heart and tireless legs, will continue forever./.
