More than 3,000 athletes compete in the final round of the 2025 Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run

On September 28, at Ba Kieu Temple and the walking space around Hoan Kiem Lake (Hanoi) and its vicinity, the final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace 2025 took place.

At the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee - Vu Thu Ha said: "The Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run has been held since 1974 and is held annually, and has become a widespread mass sports movement, attracting a large number of people from all walks of life in the capital, athletes from many provinces and cities across the country and athletes from foreign organizations and embassies in Hanoi. The Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run continues to affirm itself as one of the traditional tournaments of Vietnam's athletics community after 49 times of organization".

The final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace 2025 had the participation of more than 3,000 athletes and officials from districts, towns, universities, colleges, vocational high schools of Hanoi and other provinces and cities; including 250 foreigners who are officials and employees of 20 embassies, international organizations, and international schools studying and working in Hanoi.

In addition, the race also attracted the participation of 2,500 athletes who are leaders of central agencies and Hanoi city, departments, branches, sectors, organizations; agencies, units, and enterprises under the Hanoi Labor Federation; police and military units of the armed forces; leaders of the People's Committee and Directors and Deputy Directors of the Center for Culture - Information and Sports of 126 communes and wards in the capital to participate in the run.

Previously, the launching ceremony of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace 2025 was held in March 2025, attracting thousands of participants.
