2025 Asian Muay Thai Championship: Expected to gather nearly 600 coaches, athletes, team leaders and referees to run the tournament

Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee has issued plan No. 133/KH-UBND on organizing the 2025 Asian Muay Championship in Thai Nguyen province.

The tournament is organized to create opportunities to promote and introduce Thai Nguyen land and people to friends around the world. It is an honor for Thai Nguyen province to host a large-scale, international sports tournament for the first time; promote cooperation and cultural and sports exchanges between participating countries. The coordination to host the Asian Muay Championship not only has sporting significance but also makes an important contribution to the economic , cultural, tourism and image development of the locality.

Through the tournament, it creates conditions to promote cooperation and cultural and sports exchanges between participating countries; helps the locality accumulate experience in organizing major sporting events in the future. At the same time, it contributes to motivating Thai Nguyen people, especially young people, to pay more attention to sports, exercise and participate in physical activities.

  Opening of the 2025 National Muay Club Championship

The 2025 Asian Muay Championship will take place from June 20, 2025 to June 26, 2025 at the Thai Nguyen Provincial Sports Gymnasium, part of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, on a continental scale.

This year, the tournament is expected to have the participation of 35 delegations from 35 countries with nearly 600 coaches, athletes, team leaders and referees.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to be the presiding agency, acting as the focal point to contact the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Vietnam Sports Administration to coordinate the organization of the 2025 Asian Muay Championship.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is responsible for presiding over and coordinating with relevant agencies and units to advise the Provincial People's Committee to develop a plan to organize the tournament; establish an Organizing Committee and Subcommittees to serve the organization of the Asian Muay Championship; Prepare facilities and competition equipment to meet the technical standards for Muay as prescribed by the World Muay Federation.

The Provincial People's Committee also requested relevant agencies, units and localities to coordinate in implementing and organizing professional tournaments, ensuring compliance with international standards set by the Asian Muay Federation.

Preparations must be carried out seriously and thoroughly, from facilities, competition conditions, accommodation, health care to security and communication. Ensure absolute safety for athletes, referees, organizers and spectators throughout the tournament. Appropriate promotional activities, taking advantage of sporting events to introduce the culture and tourism of Thai Nguyen and Vietnam.
