Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc assigned 2 ministries to handle proposals on capital investment in transport infrastructure in Dong Nai.

In the concluding announcement, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc assigned the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Construction to study, synthesize, and handle Dong Nai province's proposals on supporting investment capital for construction and repair of traffic routes in the province.

Specifically, regarding Dong Nai province's proposal to support central budget capital to invest in two regional transport infrastructure projects, namely the Cat Lai ferry replacement bridge (Cat Lai bridge) and the connecting road from Provincial Road 753 via Ma Da bridge to Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc said: Investing in the two projects is necessary to promote socio-economic development of Dong Nai province. The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Finance to study and synthesize the proposal of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee in the process of developing a medium-term public investment plan for the period 2026-2030, and report to the Government for submission to the National Assembly according to regulations.

Regarding the proposal to support funding for comprehensive repairs of national highways in the province (national highways 1, 20, 51, 56), Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc assigned the Ministry of Finance to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Construction to consider the proposal of Dong Nai province in the process of building the annual state budget estimate according to the principle that when assigning tasks of decentralization and delegation of authority to localities, sufficient resources must be allocated for localities to implement.

Previously, on August 15, at a working session with the Government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc, the Provincial People's Committee proposed that the delegation consider and propose the Government to support central budget capital for the locality to implement two regional transport infrastructure projects: Cat Lai bridge and the connecting road from Provincial Road 753 through Ma Da bridge to Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City, with a total capital of more than 27 trillion VND.

Along with that, the Provincial People's Committee also proposed that the Central Government support capital of more than 1.3 trillion VND for the province to invest in repairing and upgrading all sections of the 4 national highways passing through the province that have been handed over to local management.
