At this Congress, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation hopes for medals in Jujitsu, Weightlifting, Taekwondo, Wrestling, Athletics... The Vietnamese athletes won 5 gold medals at the 2nd Congress held in 2013 in Nanjing, in which swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien won 3 gold medals in Swimming, Ly Hoang Nam 1 gold medal in Tennis, Nguyen Thi Truc Mai 1 gold medal in Athletics.

The Vietnamese Sports Delegation attending the 3rd Asian Youth Games (AYG) from October 16 to November 1, 2025 in Bahrain includes 75 members led by Mr. Dao Duc Kien, Deputy Head of the Information and Communications Department, Vietnam Sports Administration, including 50 athletes and 15 coaches, competing in 11/28 sports including: Athletics, Badminton, Jujitsu, Judo, Wrestling, Boxing, Weightlifting, Taekwondo, Cycling, Muay, Golf.
The 2025 Asian Youth Games taking place in Bahrain will feature the competition of many famous young athletes from the continent from countries such as China, Japan, Korea, Iran, etc. These are all young talents of the continent and will serve as a testing ground for future international competitions.
The list of sports at the AYG 2025 was also announced, including 24 disciplines. A total of 1,677 medals will be awarded, with 505 gold, 503 silver and 669 bronze. The medals will feature the official emblem of the Games in the center, surrounded by stylized motifs representing the word "Bahrain".
Previously, according to the announcement of the Organizing Committee, there will be more than 4,000 athletes participating in the Vietnamese Sports Delegation to attend the 3rd Asian Youth Games. This is a record number for the most important youth sports event in Asia.
