Thanh Liet Ward: Celebrating the 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the Vietnam Women's Union

HNP - On the morning of October 20, the Thanh Liet Ward Women's Union solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2025); met with union officials of all periods; awarded decisions to recognize honorary members; and launched clubs in 2025. Comrade Pham Thi Thanh Huong, Permanent Vice President of the Hanoi Women's Union attended the ceremony.

At the Ceremony, delegates reviewed the glorious 95-year tradition of the Vietnamese women's movement - a journey closely linked to the nation's revolutionary cause, with the spirit of "Heroic - Indomitable - Loyal - Responsible". From the "Three Responsible" and "Five Good" movements during the resistance war to the movements "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families", and "Building a "Family of 5 No's and 3 Clean" during the renovation period - each period marked the role and great contribution of Vietnamese women to the country's development.

Promoting that tradition, Thanh Liet ward women continue to affirm their role as the core force in building a civilized and modern ward, always closely following the guidance of the City Women's Union and the political tasks of the Ward, applying and concretizing emulation movements deployed by the City Women's Union; at the same time, innovating content, creating movements that focus on people, applying information technology to organize emulation movements that attract many women to voluntarily participate, typically: movements to support women in economic development, humanitarian and charitable activities; caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of women and children, supporting women with disabilities and disadvantaged women; mobilizing women members to carry out the Campaign to build "Families of 5 no, 3 clean", supporting women members in difficult circumstances to change jobs to stabilize their lives - leaving no one behind.

The Ward Women's Union pays tribute to former Union Chairmen of different periods.

Currently, the Association is coordinating with Thanh Tri Social Policy Bank to exploit and manage the entrusted capital with an amount of over 56 billion VND to help 1,114 households borrow capital; Implement the environmental protection movement to contribute to improving the criteria of civilized urban areas; Maintain 8 branches "Collecting scrap and turning waste into money", branch "Say no to disposable plastic products", support 11 orphans and children in difficult circumstances with 500 thousand VND per month to contribute to the effective implementation of the "Godmother" program.

In particular, 2025 marked an important turning point when the Thanh Liet Ward Women's Union was officially established under Decision No. 582 of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Women's Union, on the basis of merging 6 communes and wards. Immediately after its establishment, the Union quickly consolidated its organization, successfully organized the 1st Congress of Delegates, term 2025 - 2030, setting out goals and directions with 5 key tasks, 3 campaigns and 2 breakthroughs, opening a new development path for the local women's movement.

At the Ceremony, the Ward Women's Union paid tribute to 14 comrades who were former Chairmen of the Association through the periods; presented gifts to comrades who were members of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee for the 2021-2026 term who did not participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Association for the 2025-2030 term. At the same time, the decision to honor 18 comrades of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Party Cell Secretaries, Heads of the Front Work Committee, and heads of residential groups who participated as honorary members of the Association was awarded; the decision to establish 4 clubs was awarded: Arts Club of Residential Group No. 2 Cau Buu, "Pink Lotus" Folk Dance Club, Aerobic Club of Noi Residential Group; Folk Dance Club of Thuong Residential Group.
