The Tchaikovsky Night features works by Tchaikovsky (1840 - 1893), a composer representing the Russian Romantic school. All three works performed bear the outstanding characteristics of Tchaikovsky's style, in general, the talent of orchestration, harmony in compositional techniques and spiritual depth in musical art.

It is the Nutcracker Overture, op. 71 - the opening music for the ballet of the same name, one of the works that made Tchaikovsky's name in the field of ballet music.

The Violin Concerto in D major, op. 35 is the only violin concerto composed by Tchaikovsky in 1878. It is one of the most famous violin concertos in the world for its sweet beauty and intense expressiveness.
