Recently, Professor Jean Francois Lasserre (University of Bordeaux, France), author of the book "Fusion: Art and Nature in Ceramic Restorations" , shared information about the fact that Master, Doctor Nguyen Quynh Trang (who studied Dentistry - Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Hanoi Medical University) did not respect the author's intellectual property rights, arbitrarily translated the book into Vietnamese and sold it without permission.

This book is the result of more than 40 years of dedication to porcelain restorations by Professor Jean Francois Lasserre.

“She arbitrarily commercialized the Vietnamese translation of my book Fusion without permission. This translation is of extremely poor quality, full of errors, and lacks respect for the publisher and the author,” he wrote on his personal page. Along with that, Professor Jean Francois Lasserre called on the community not to buy the book.

On the advertising channels named “ThS.BS Nguyen Quynh Trang” also shared the following advertisement: “Book by my teacher, Professor Jean Francois Lasserre, Department of Porcelain Restoration, University of Bordeaux, France. I spent 6 months translating this book” with a special price of 999,000 VND.

Talking to VietNamNet about these "accusatory" information, Ms. Nguyen Quynh Trang said that she herself was not involved in the translation of the book "Fusion: Art and Nature in Ceramic Restorations".

“I read that Mr. Jean Francois Lasserre was upset and angry because I translated his book Fusion to sell without his permission. However, this book was borrowed by my manager, who hired someone to translate it and advertised it on his fanpage without my permission,” Ms. Trang said, admitting that this manager was her younger brother.

According to Ms. Trang, knowing that this was related to copyright and that she was also responsible for affecting the professor's reputation and brand, she proactively texted him to apologize. In addition, Ms. Trang asked her younger brother to remove all related information, recall the book editions and refund those who had purchased it.

This doctor said that the book translation was released but no one censored the professional content, so there were many errors and it did not meet the author's requirements.
