When ideals are ignited from the school grounds
In the 2025-2026 school year, many schools in Dien Bien province held solemn and moving Party membership ceremonies for students. Under the Party flag, the national flag, and the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh , eighteen-year-old students recited the oath of a Party member for the first time, leaving many emotions for their teachers, friends, and parents.
At Tuan Giao Ethnic Boarding High School, the school's Party branch held a ceremony to admit three outstanding students, Lo Thi Kim Ngan, Lo Van Kien, and Lo Hoai Nam, into the Party. These students all have excellent academic achievements, actively participate in Youth Union activities and youth movements, and demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility towards the collective.
Mr. Cao Van Bang, Party Secretary and Principal of the school, believes that Party development among students should not be about chasing quantity, but rather about nurturing a generation of young people with ideals, strong character, and a desire to contribute.
“In schools in mountainous areas, many students come from disadvantaged backgrounds but possess a strong will to succeed. With proper education and guidance, they mature quickly, not only excelling academically but also demonstrating responsibility towards their community. This is also the school's greatest goal in providing comprehensive education,” Mr. Cao Van Bang shared.
A few days ago, the Party Branch of Na Tau High School held a ceremony to admit two 12th-grade students, Quang Thi Quyen and Bui Thanh Binh, into the Party. In that solemn moment before the Party flag, the two new Party members expressed their determination to continue studying, training, and living up to the trust of their teachers and the Party organization.
Quang Thi Quyen emotionally said: “Being a member of the Party while still a student is a great honor for me. This is not only a memorable milestone but also a reminder for me to continue striving harder in my studies and life.”
According to many teachers, for students, being admitted to the Party or joining the Youth Union is not simply a personal achievement. More importantly, it helps them form beautiful ideals and develop a sense of responsibility towards themselves, their families, and society.

Education through experience and inspiration.
In addition to classroom lessons, many schools in Dien Bien are choosing to educate students about revolutionary ideals through experiential activities, traditional education, and practical movements.
For example, during the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, Him Lam Secondary School organized a ceremony to admit 72 outstanding members into the Youth Union at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Temple in Dien Bien Phu ward.
In the sacred space of this historical site, new members of the Youth Union are presented with their badges and take an oath with pride and determination to strive for excellence.
Distinguished teacher Cao Thi Dai – Party Secretary and Principal of the school – said that instead of rigid education, the school wants students to directly experience the value of revolutionary traditions through practical activities.
"When students stand at historical sites, listen to historical stories, and take an oath in front of President Ho Chi Minh's portrait, their emotions and understanding will be much deeper. Educating students about ideals today must be done through closeness, inspiration, and fostering self-awareness," said Ms. Cao Thi Dai.
At Quài Tở Secondary and High School, revolutionary ideals education is closely linked to emulation movements, Youth Union activities, and propaganda work. The school recognizes that intellectual education must go hand in hand with moral education, political acumen, and a spirit of dedication.
I recall that during the past month of May, when teachers Hoang Thuy Duong and Lo Thi Huong achieved high results at the commune-level competition for excellent speakers and propagandists, the Party branches at the school also organized the admission of six outstanding 12th-grade students into the Party.
According to school leaders, teachers' direct involvement in political propaganda and education has also had a positive impact on students. From classroom lectures to extracurricular activities, students are exposed to revolutionary ideals in a more relatable and practical way.

Fostering a desire to contribute in young people.
In the context of the rapid development of social media and students' access to diverse sources of information, political and ideological education for the younger generation has become even more essential.
The most important thing now is not to educate students with slogans, but to help them understand why they need to live responsibly, contribute to society, and love their homeland and country.
From Party membership ceremonies in highland schools and meaningful Youth Union activities to experiential and volunteer movements, the education sector in Dien Bien is gradually nurturing revolutionary ideals in students through practical and humane methods.
It is commendable that many of the students admitted to the Party today have grown up within the school's own emulation movements. They study well, live responsibly, actively participate in collective activities, and have a sense of contributing to the community.
In remote, mountainous schools facing numerous challenges, the journey of "sowing the seeds of revolutionary ideals" has never been easy. However, thanks to the dedication of teachers, the support of the Party and Youth Union organizations, and the efforts of the students themselves, these "seeds" are gradually taking root and growing with knowledge, willpower, and aspirations to build their homeland.
And perhaps, that is also the most enduring value of education today: not only teaching students how to learn, but also teaching them how to live beautifully, with ideals and responsibility for the future of the country.
