Sow love, give strength.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of life, there are still many people silently giving love through sincere sharing. For children lacking parental love, the "Godmother - Connecting Love" program, widely implemented throughout the province, has been writing heartwarming stories of human kindness, giving them strength and confidence to overcome difficulties and rise up in life.

Sow love, give strength.

The Women's Union of Thieu Trung commune provided sponsorship funds to Le Dinh Viet, a child residing in Hamlet 1.

Together with the officials and members of the Women's Union of Thieu Trung commune, we visited Le Dinh Viet in Hamlet 1, and we felt even more deeply the profound humanitarian significance of this program. In the neatly cleaned house, the eyes of the two siblings, Viet and Thuy Linh, clearly showed their joy at welcoming their second mothers. Mrs. Hoang Thi Doi, Viet's grandmother, said emotionally: "Viet's mother passed away when he was 11 years old and Linh was turning 8. At an age when they should need the close care and support of their parents, they lacked the warmth of a mother. Currently, the three of us live together. I am old and weak, so life is still very difficult. Thanks to the care and help of relatives and the Women's Union of Thieu Trung commune sponsoring and supporting the children with 500,000 VND for their education, the family's difficulties have been somewhat alleviated."

Beyond providing material support, the foster mothers also regularly visit, keep track of the children's well-being, encourage them to excel in their studies, and kindly guide them in even the smallest aspects of life. Especially to create beautiful memories for the children, during Children's Day and Lunar New Year, they bring small but meaningful gifts. Through their companionship and simple, warm acts of love, the foster mothers deeply feel cared for and loved, giving them the motivation to always strive for excellence and achieve high academic results.

Ms. Le Thi Huong, President of the Women's Union of Thieu Trung commune, said: “Every child is born hoping for a warm and loving home with both parents. However, for some less fortunate children, their journey of growing up is fraught with many hardships and difficulties. Since the Central Women's Union implemented the "Godmother" program, female cadres and members in the commune have always strived to support these children in overcoming this loss. We always treat them as our own children and grandchildren, encouraging them to always strive for excellence in their studies and in life...”

Bui Quoc Bao, from Kim De village, Ha Trung commune, also faced unfortunate circumstances. His father died in an accident when he was still young, and he currently lives with his paternal grandparents and mother. However, his family is struggling financially, with unstable income as his mother works as a factory worker and his grandparents are self-employed. His grandmother, Mai Thi Thu, said: “Losing his father at such a young age is a great loss for him; I feel so sorry for him. My husband and I, along with our daughter-in-law, always encourage and teach him to study hard, be polite, respect elders, and get along well with everyone around him.”

After assessing Bảo's situation, the Women's Union of Hà Trung commune connected with Đại Dũng Group to sponsor Bảo with 700,000 VND per month, helping to alleviate the family's difficulties. In addition to this money, Bảo also receives regular visits and encouragement from mothers who are members of the Women's Union in the village and commune, giving him motivation and helping him to be confident and strive for a better life.

Ms. Bui Thi Hien, Vice President of the Women's Union of Ha Trung commune, said: "Currently, there are 71 orphaned and disadvantaged children in the commune. Implementing the program 'Godmothers, supporting, caring for, and nurturing orphaned children,' the Women's Union of the commune, in coordination with businesses and philanthropists, sponsors 34 children with an amount of 200,000 - 700,000 VND per child per month. Many units, organizations, and individuals have committed to long-term support, with some sponsoring until the children reach 18 years old. Many 'godmothers' also wish to continue accompanying their children if they get into university, helping them to strive and succeed in their lives and careers."

Without fanfare or ostentation, these "godmothers" quietly reach out to children in difficult circumstances with sincerity, care, and thoughtfulness. Through love, community responsibility, and compassion, female officials and members in the province have contributed to the widespread impact of the program. According to a review by the Provincial Women's Union, there are over 5,300 orphaned children in particularly difficult circumstances, of which more than 2,300 are connected to and sponsored by the organization, with an annual budget of approximately 6 billion VND.

Each sponsorship is not just a form of material support, but also a source of encouragement and comfort, reminding the children that "You are not alone," that they always have second mothers accompanying them through life. From the loving embrace of these non-biological mothers, the children gain confidence and motivation to always strive and work hard in their studies and in life, so that they can have a better future.
