Dong Hy is a mountainous district located in the Northeast of Thai Nguyen province, with a population of over 94,000 people, of which the Mong ethnic group has more than 3,600 people (accounting for 3.82%). The Mong people live mainly in the hamlets: Mo Ba, Lan Quan (Tan Long commune), Ban Ten, Lien Phuong, Tam Va, Van Lang, Khe Mong (Van Lang commune) and Lan Dam, Trung Son (Quang Son commune).
