Man returns more than 248 million VND that was mistakenly transferred

Realizing that more than 248 million VND had been unexpectedly transferred into his account, Mr. Le Hoang Thien (41 years old, residing in Phuoc Ly commune, Tay Ninh province) proactively went to the commune police to report the incident. Thanks to that, the person who mistakenly transferred the money was supported to receive the entire amount back.

On August 2, information from Phuoc Ly Commune Police, Tay Ninh Province, the unit supported the procedures for Mr. Nguyen Van Dao (51 years old), permanent resident of Ly Van Lam Ward, Ca Mau Province to receive back the amount of more than 248 million VND that he mistakenly transferred to the account of a local resident.

Previously, on July 5, 2025, Mr. Nguyen Van Dao used a bank account to transfer more than 248 million VND to a bank account. However, after the transaction was successful, Mr. Dao discovered that he had transferred the wrong money.

The recipient of the money was Mr. Le Hoang Thien. When he discovered the unusual amount of money in his account, Mr. Thien immediately went to Phuoc Ly Commune Police to report it.

On July 10, Mr. Nguyen Van Dao also contacted Phuoc Ly Commune Police to explain the incident and provided a debt notice with money transfer content to ask for support.

From the information from both sides, Phuoc Ly Commune Police quickly verified, guided the necessary procedures and assisted the two citizens in contacting and returning the money.

Mr. Dao received back more than 248 million VND and sent his deep thanks to Phuoc Ly Commune Police as well as Mr. Thien, who acted honestly and meaningfully./.
