Efforts to care for and implement good policies for people with meritorious services

In recent times, the work of caring for the material and spiritual life of people with revolutionary contributions and policy families has been paid attention to and implemented synchronously by the Party Committee and the government of Hoa Hoi commune, Tay Ninh province, contributing to preserving and promoting the tradition and morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" of the nation.

Units visited and presented gifts to express gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers

Hoa Hoi is a border commune, established on the basis of merging 3 border administrative units including: Hoa Thanh commune, Hoa Hoi commune and Bien Gioi commune. The policy for war invalids, martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution is a major policy of the Party and State, implemented promptly and to the right subjects by the commune government.

Head of the Department of Culture - Society of Hoa Hoi Commune Vo Minh Nhat shared that the unit has advised the Commune People's Committee to perform well the key tasks such as promoting propaganda, education and timely implementation of the Party and State's policies and guidelines for war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution; mobilizing social organizations and philanthropists to build and repair houses for policy families facing housing difficulties; mobilizing the Gratitude Fund, coordinating with the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the commune to regularly visit and meet with policy families and people with meritorious services. Thereby, promptly grasping the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of the families to have appropriate and timely solutions.

In addition, the Department of Culture and Society of Hoa Hoi commune also did a good job of summarizing, concluding, praising and rewarding the work of "Repaying gratitude"; recognizing and praising typical examples of war invalids, martyrs' families and meritorious people; replicating good models in the "Repaying gratitude" movement.

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, along with benefactors and sponsors, visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, policy families, and meritorious people; organized a meeting with policy families and meritorious people.

In addition, the locality also coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City Hospital 7A to organize medical examinations, provide free medicine and give 200 gifts to policy beneficiaries; coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune to mobilize businesses and philanthropists to repair 7 dilapidated houses for policy beneficiaries.

Mrs. Ho Thi Ha (born in 1948), wife of a martyr, residing in Hoa Hop hamlet, shared: “I am very happy that the local authorities are interested in repairing my dilapidated house. This is a great source of encouragement and support for me and my family.”

Along with the good implementation of preferential policies for people with meritorious services, the sectors and organizations in the commune have also effectively deployed the movement of the whole people taking care of families of war invalids, martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution. Up to now, the movement has had an increasingly strong influence.

Vice Chairman of Hoa Hoi Commune People's Committee Trieu Nguyen Dang said: "Implementing preferential policies of the Party and State, the movement of "Repaying gratitude" in the commune has become a regular activity, spreading deeply and widely among all classes of people. With the attention of the local government and people, the material and spiritual life of people with meritorious services to the revolution living in the area is increasingly improved. Regimes and policies for people with meritorious services are guaranteed promptly and in accordance with regulations"./.
