According to the Hanoi City Police, from 2021 to the end of the first quarter of 2026, 3,831 fires occurred in the city, resulting in 157 deaths, 135 injuries, and property damage of approximately 152.3 billion VND; at the same time, 6,563 fire incidents were detected and handled promptly. This reality highlights the urgent need to strongly apply science and technology to improve the effectiveness of preventing, detecting, and promptly handling fire and explosion risks.

Lieutenant Colonel Do Van Manh, Deputy General Director of Thang August One-Member Limited Liability Company - Hanoi City Police, emphasized that the wireless fire alarm device was researched and developed in the context of implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation; and simultaneously implementing the Ministry of Public Security 's project to build a system for transmitting and reporting fire prevention and fighting incidents, as well as programs to enhance fire prevention and fighting capabilities in the capital city.

The product has been evaluated and tested for quality and technical specifications by reputable organizations; it has been granted Certificate of Inspection for Fire Fighting Equipment No. 124/KĐ-PCCC dated April 30, 2026 and Certificate of Conformity for Wireless Transmission Equipment dated May 6, 2026, in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Science and Technology , ensuring full legal compliance for circulation on the market.

Alongside the product development process, August Company collaborated with relevant units to conduct a real-world trial installation of the product demo at a guesthouse in Hoai Duc commune. The trial project consisted of a 5-story guesthouse with a rooftop extension, covering an area of approximately 110m² and housing 10 rooms. Through the trial operation, the owner highly praised the stability, warning capabilities, and convenience of the product.

According to the description, the system includes wireless smoke detectors, a central connection device (Gateway), a server platform, web-based management software, and a mobile application. The device uses wireless transmission technology, is capable of detecting smoke in under 15 seconds, integrates temperature and humidity sensors, and provides an audible alarm above 85dB.

Notably, the system is built on a digital platform with the ability to centrally manage, monitor online, locate fire signal sources on a map, send instant alerts via application and automated calls to registered phone numbers. The server platform also integrates an artificial intelligence (AI) model to analyze fire alarm data, support signal classification, reduce false alarms, and improve alert accuracy.

At the conference, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Trung, Deputy Director of the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Ministry of Public Security), highly appreciated the application and scientific research work of the Hanoi City Police in implementing digital transformation tasks.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Trung affirmed that this is the right direction in implementing Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo; he also assessed that the wireless fire alarm product of the Hanoi City Police has high practical application and is suitable for ensuring fire safety in the current situation. The Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department will coordinate to propose to the Ministry of Public Security to recognize this as a security industry product.

According to Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung, Director of the Hanoi City Police, the device was developed based on the practical requirements of fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue operations, aiming to detect fires early and provide timely warnings to minimize damage to people and property.

This is not just a single piece of equipment, but a concrete step in building a digital technology ecosystem to serve fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue operations; gradually forming a widespread early fire warning network, connecting data to serve state management, command and control, and firefighting organization.

In the coming period, the Hanoi City Police will continue to research and develop technological products to serve professional work in a modern, intelligent direction, suitable to the practical conditions of Vietnam; gradually building a model of a "Smart Fire Safety City," synchronously connecting warning devices in households and establishments with centralized management platforms and smart operation centers.
