On the morning of May 31st, candidates participating in the 2026-2027 public high school entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City arrived at the examination centers to complete the registration procedures, verify their personal information, and listen to the exam regulations. After completing the registration procedures, the city's education department reminded candidates to review all necessary documents to bring to the examination sessions.

When participating in the exam, candidates must present their citizen identification card or registration slip. If a citizen identification card has not yet been issued, a student ID card may be used as a substitute. If any errors related to name, date of birth, priority status, or other personal information are discovered after the registration process, candidates should immediately contact the examination center or the responsible officer for guidance on how to resolve the issue.
In case of losing their citizen identification card or registration slip, candidates must immediately report it to the head of the examination center for consideration and resolution according to regulations.
One of the important regulations that candidates need to remember before the official exam day is the arrival time at the exam site. The education sector advises candidates to arrive at the exam site early to avoid unforeseen traffic or weather issues. According to regulations, candidates who arrive more than 15 minutes late after the start time will not be allowed to take the exam that session.
In the examination room, candidates must sit in the correct position according to their registration number, maintain order, and strictly follow the instructions of the invigilator. Items permitted in the examination room include pens, pencils, rulers, erasers, set squares, graph rulers, geometric drawing tools, and handheld calculators without text editing functions or memory cards.

Conversely, candidates are not allowed to bring into the examination room any documents, mobile phones, communication devices, recording devices, flammable or explosive materials, alcoholic beverages, or any devices or items that could be used to cheat in the exam.
Upon receiving the exam paper, candidates must carefully check the number of pages, printing quality, and content. If any discrepancies are found, such as missing pages, tears, smudges, blurriness, or other unusual signs, candidates must immediately report this to the invigilator within 5 minutes of the start of the exam so that the issue can be resolved.
Throughout the exam, candidates are not allowed to exchange information, copy from others, use unauthorized materials, or engage in any form of cheating. Candidates are only permitted to leave the examination room after completing at least two-thirds of the exam time and must submit all exam papers, question papers, and scratch paper before leaving the room.

When the signal to end the exam is given, candidates must stop writing immediately, keep their exam papers intact, and complete all procedures for signing and submitting their papers as instructed by the invigilator.
According to the exam schedule, on the morning of June 1st, candidates will take the first exam, Literature; in the afternoon, they will take the Foreign Language exam. On June 2nd, candidates will take the Mathematics exam; those who registered for specialized or integrated 10th grade classes will continue to take the specialized or integrated subjects according to their registered preferences.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training advises candidates to proactively check their personal documents and registration slips on the afternoon and evening of May 31st, prepare all permitted study materials, and get adequate rest to ensure good health for the first day of the exam.
Understanding the regulations, arriving at the exam site on time, and following the invigilator's instructions will help candidates avoid unfortunate violations that could affect their admission results.
