So the teacher registered Thuy Ha and this was the first time in her life she held a microphone. In this contest, Thuy Ha won first prize for solo singing in the whole school.

Talking about the reason for being attached to bolero music, singer Thuy Ha said: "Since I was little, my family ran a cafe business in the canteen of the district hospital. At that time, there was no electricity at home, so in the canteen, I used electricity from the hospital's generator. Every day, I heard my father play many genres of music, including bolero - a genre of music that easily touches people's hearts and that I really love. I loved it so much that when I was little, I sat in one place listening to bolero music from morning to afternoon, so this genre of music was in my blood from a young age. Even though I sang many genres later, I still loved bolero music more, so I decided to choose and pursue this genre of music?".

At the age of 17, she went to Ho Chi Minh City to study and the door to music opened wider. At the age of 19, she registered to participate in the Television Singing Contest organized by Ho Chi Minh City Television. At that time, this was the only singing contest in the country that was the biggest. And this time she made it to the finals.

After that turning point, singer Thuy Ha collaborated with the Voice Center for a lifetime, so she became known to audiences everywhere and affirmed her name.
