Anonymous sources in the US State Department and Department of Defense said that recently, the administration of US President Joe Biden "quietly" transferred a "huge" amount of military equipment to Israel.

The US is providing Israel with a new aid package worth a total of $2.5 billion, including 25 F35A fighter jets, 500 MK82 225kg bombs and more than 1,800 MK84 900kg bombs.

The US has offered a new aid package to Israel as many US lawmakers have called on Washington not to provide more weapons to Tel Aviv until Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commits to minimizing civilian casualties in the Rafah offensive.

The arms transfer plan was approved by the US Congress many years ago, but was ultimately not implemented. Therefore, when providing Israel with this aid package, the Washington administration did not need to notify or seek Congressional approval.

According to US media, the above developments show that the White House still maintains a high level of commitment to protecting Israel, despite the rift between President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Netanyahu.
