Visitors can explore the night market, enjoy cocktails at rooftop bars, cruise along the Han River, and admire Da Nang 's beautiful nighttime scenery.

According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's plan for developing night-time tourism until 2025, Da Nang is one of three localities required to establish its own separate night-time entertainment complex.

Tien Dung, who works in digital content creation for tourism in Da Nang, said that life after 9 PM in the bustling coastal city is just as vibrant as in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi.

The streets of Bach Dang, Hung Vuong, Nguyen Van Linh, Le Duan... have many shops and restaurants that stay open late. In addition, there are many fun nightlife activities worth trying when visiting Da Nang. Mr. Dung introduces some activities and places below that tourists can refer to.

Admire the city from the bridges.

Da Nang is known as the city of bridges. Tourists can stroll and admire the city at night from iconic bridges such as the Dragon Bridge, the Han River Swing Bridge, the Tran Thi Ly Bridge, and the Love Bridge. Right near the Love Bridge is a statue of a carp transforming into a dragon.

On weekends, tourists often flock to the Dragon Bridge to watch the dragon's water and fire show. From 8 PM onwards, many tourists and locals gather on the bridge, along both banks of the Han River, or near high-rise buildings. Traffic at both ends of the bridge is stopped for 15 minutes during the show. Tourists should choose a suitable vantage point, or wear raincoats and use umbrellas to avoid getting wet while watching the water show. It's recommended to arrive early, between 7:30 PM and 8:00 PM, to secure a good view of the bridge.

The Han River swing bridge is also a popular tourist attraction on weekend evenings. Every Saturday and Sunday, the bridge rotates 90 degrees from 11 PM to 11:30 PM. The best vantage point for observing the entire scene is at the foot of the bridge on the east bank, along Bach Dang or Tran Hung Dao streets. Approximately 15 minutes before the bridge rotates, vehicles at both ends of the bridge are requested not to cross.

Nighttime cruise on the Han River.

At the Da Nang marina on Bach Dang Street, there are more than 15 tourist boats that meet the standards and are licensed to operate nightly cruises on the Han River. The boats typically depart at 6 PM, with the latest departure at 9 PM.

The sightseeing tours have four departures each evening between 6 PM and 9 PM, with one hour between each trip, and the journey lasts 45 minutes on the river. The ticket price is 150,000 VND per person. The dinner-combined tours have two departures daily, at 6 PM and 8 PM, and the journey lasts one and a half hours on the river. The ticket price is 500,000 VND per person.

Visitors can purchase tickets at the pier or book online. During weekends, it's advisable to book tickets a week in advance to secure a good seat. Tickets can be cancelled and refunded if booked 1-2 days prior to departure.

Enjoy the city lights at night from above.
