Google has officially developed a special program, giving away one year of free Google One AI Premium package (including Gemini Pro and 2TB of storage) to university and college students in Vietnam.

Additionally, Google requires users to add a valid payment method, such as a visa, mastercard, or e-wallet, to verify their account. Even if it is a free plan, this step is still required.

Steps to register Gemini Pro for free for students

Step 1: Go to the offer page and log in

First, you need to access the official Google One login page for students. Please use your personal Gmail account to log in to the system. https://gemini.google/students/

Step 2: Verify student status

On the offer page, Google will ask you to identify yourself as a student. This is done through a reputable third-party service called SheerID.

Users need to fill in complete and accurate information about school, full name, date of birth and provide the necessary documents as required for system authentication.

Step 3: Provide payment information

After successful verification, the user will be redirected to the payment method addition step.

Google requires this step to authenticate your account and prepare to automatically limit your 1-year Gemini trial period.

Step 4: Finish

Upon completing the above steps, the user's Google account will be automatically upgraded to the Google One AI Premium package.

Benefits include 2TB storage across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos. Access to the premium AI model Gemini Pro.

Additionally, it is possible to use AI features integrated into text tools like Docs, Sheets, Slides.

However, users should note that this promotion has a limited time limit, so registration must be completed before December 9. Automatic renewal should be canceled to avoid a fee of VND 489,000/month after the end of the free year.

You can use the Foot management package on Google One and cancel it immediately after successful registration. This will not affect your experience with the Gemini 1-year package.

Some universities have signed up for Google Workspace for Education plans. You should also check to see if any accounts have built-in AI tools like Gemini.
