As a coastal locality, Hoanh Son ward was one of the localities that suffered heavy damage in the recent storm No. 10. 1,132 houses and auxiliary works, 10 schools, 2 medical facilities, 7 cultural houses of residential groups had their roofs blown off and were damaged. In addition, dozens of hectares of vegetables and hundreds of hectares of acacia trees were damaged and collapsed. The estimated damage in the whole ward was over 95 billion VND.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Cuong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoanh Son Ward said: As soon as the storm passed, the ward directed working groups, forces, departments, and related units to directly direct at residential areas and units to inspect the situation and direct forces to trim fallen trees, support households to repair roofs, auxiliary works... Residential areas, schools, and medical stations simultaneously mobilized human resources to overcome the damage. Thanks to that, teaching and medical examination and treatment activities soon stabilized, and traffic was smooth.
Along with that, businesses operating in the area damaged by the storm have also proactively mobilized human resources to reinforce and repair factory systems, signs, and auxiliary works. Up to now, 100% of businesses have resumed production activities.

Similarly, in Hai Ninh ward, storm No. 10 damaged nearly 1,000 households' houses; 7/8 schools, 2 traditional markets were affected and severely damaged; dozens of hectares of vegetables, forests and aquaculture areas were damaged. Immediately after the storm, the ward Party Committee and government organized forces to go to the grassroots to support people in cleaning up, repairing houses and constructions, restoring production, in which priority was given to helping households with heavy damage; proactively spraying disinfectants, sterilizing, cleaning the environment, treating domestic water sources, preventing epidemics after storms; instructing people to check and reinforce barns, overcome damage to crops and livestock and take care and recovery measures to reduce long-term damage.

Mr. Tran Ba Toan - Chairman of Hai Ninh Ward People's Committee emphasized: "With the synchronous participation of the entire political system, up to now, life, production and business activities have been restored. However, because many works such as schools and markets were severely damaged while local resources are limited, to completely overcome these damages, timely resource support from the province is needed."
In Song Tri ward, storm No. 10 also caused heavy damage with more than 1,258 houses damaged, more than 460 hectares of forest and fruit trees broken, over 270 hectares of aquaculture area flooded, 12/20 schools, 3 medical facilities, 11 cultural houses of residential groups damaged, roofs blown off, hundreds of electric poles broken.

Mr. Phan Van Quang - Chairman of Song Tri Ward People's Committee said that one of the top priority tasks of the ward after the storm is to mobilize forces to support people in repairing houses and auxiliary works to stabilize their lives. Police, military forces and mass organizations have been mobilized to all residential groups. Up to now, all damages to people's houses have been repaired. Along with people's houses, essential works such as schools and medical stations have also been focused on timely repair to meet the needs of teaching, learning and health care. However, with the traffic system, dykes and civil infrastructure works being severely damaged, we hope that the province will promptly support resources and human resources to upgrade and repair them in a synchronous and solid manner.
