Providing knowledge on historical and cultural relic inventory work

On the morning of October 9, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh organized a training conference on inventorying historical - cultural relics and scenic spots in 2025. Attending were leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and 180 delegates who are officers in charge of cultural heritage, officers of cultural - communication centers of the regions.

Ha Tinh is a land with a long-standing historical and cultural tradition, with a rich and diverse heritage treasure. According to preliminary statistics, the whole province has 694 ranked historical and cultural relics, including 2 special national relics, 92 national relics and 600 provincial relics.

Mr. Tran Xuan Luong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh delivered the opening speech at the conference.

In recent times, Ha Tinh has mobilized social resources, invested in and restored relics, thereby reviving and promoting the value of historical and cultural relics associated with tourism, contributing to the socio -economic development of localities. However, there are still some difficulties such as: many relics are degraded; bottlenecks in mechanisms, policies and mobilizing investment resources for relic restoration and rehabilitation affect the exploitation and promotion of the potential of relics.

The implementation of relic inventory work according to new regulations will help Ha Tinh have a digital database and comprehensive information about historical and cultural relics in the province.

Mr. Vo Dinh Thi - Deputy Head of the Department of Cultural Management, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh informed about the steps of inventorying historical and cultural relics.

At the conference, delegates were informed about the contents of the 2024 Law on Cultural Heritage, circulars and regulations on cultural heritage inventory; the necessity, principles, procedures, methods, contents and approval, announcement of inventory results; instructions on procedures, forms and methods of inventorying relics; practical skills in collecting information, filling out forms, taking photos, making inventory reports... of cultural heritage.

Delegates also exchanged and shared experiences and skills in organizing and implementing the task of inventorying historical and cultural relics to protect and promote heritage values at the local level.

The contents provided at the conference contribute to training and raising awareness and professional skills for officials directly managing and protecting historical relics and local cultural heritages, improving the quality, accuracy and objectivity of inventory work, creating a solid foundation for conservation activities and promoting the value of relics.
